Off-line quality control slows down production; sample controls measure a fraction of 1% of production. This results in high costs for man-hours and scrap, as well as the potential for expensive recalls due to poor traceability. 3D measurement systems for off-line and near-line quality control are accurate but, even at their high price-point, are not fast enough to measure 100% of production.
We provide an in-line 3D measurement system for quality control. We directly measure holes, slots, edges and 3D geometry on parts moving through production at up to 1 meter per second, harnessing the full capability of advanced image-based measurement techniques.
Our system allows users to control 100% of production truly in-line; reducing waste and providing more cost-efficient quality control compared to off-line or near-line methods. Our measurements enable connected Industry 4.0 systems through 100% control data and insights, significantly reducing downtime, waste and allowing total traceability.
